Introduction

PMDevLabs ("we", "our", or "us") operates the DOB Calculator mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App to calculate your age, track birthdays, and receive birthday reminders.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Date of Birth: The birth dates you enter to calculate age
• Birthday List: Names and dates you save for birthday tracking
• Reminder Preferences: Notification settings and alarm configurations
• Widget Data: Birthday information displayed on your home screen widget

Automatically Collected Information

The App collects limited information through Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising and regulatory compliance:

• Device advertising ID
• IP address
• Device type and operating system
• Consent preferences (GDPR/CCPA status)

Permissions

DOB Calculator requests the following permissions to enable its core features:

• Internet & Network State: Required for displaying advertisements via AdMob
• Post Notifications: Used to send birthday reminder notifications
• Schedule Exact Alarm / Use Exact Alarm: Ensures birthday reminders are delivered at the precise time you set
• Receive Boot Completed & Wake Lock: Restores scheduled birthday reminders automatically after your device restarts

No location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage permissions are used.

Birthday Reminders & Notifications

DOB Calculator can send you local notifications to remind you of upcoming birthdays. Here is how this works:

• Reminders are scheduled locally on your device using Android's alarm system
• No birthday data is sent to external servers to trigger notifications
• Reminders are automatically restored after a device reboot
• You can enable or disable notifications at any time from the app's Settings or your device's notification settings

Home Screen Widget

The birthday home screen widget displays upcoming birthday information directly on your device's home screen. All widget data is sourced from your locally stored birthday list and is never transmitted externally.

Consent Management (CMP)

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, we use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK. This is a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) that allows you to:

• Provide or withhold consent for personalized advertisements
• Manage your preferences for data processing by Google and its partners
• Withdraw your consent at any time via the in-app settings

Advertising (AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use your data to:

• Show personalized ads (with your consent)
• Show non-personalized ads (if consent is declined)
• Measure ad performance and prevent fraud

• ✔️ No login or account creation required
• ✔️ All birthday and date-of-birth data is stored locally on your device
• ✔️ AdMob may process device identifiers to show ads, but we do not access this data

Children's Privacy

DOB Calculator is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child is using our app and providing information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when new features are added or requirements change. Continued use of the app after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
