Quick Search Privacy Policy

Introduction

PMDevLabs ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Quick Search mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App. The App is available in a free, ad-supported version and a paid, ad-free version.

Privacy First: Regardless of whether you use the free or paid version, your search queries, contact lists, and installed app details are processed locally on your device. We never see, store, or upload your personal search content.

Permissions & Data Usage

To function as a unified search tool, the App requires specific permissions. Here is how we use them:

1. Installed Applications

Permission: QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES
Purpose: Required to index and display the apps installed on your device so you can search for and launch them quickly.
Data Handling: This scanning happens locally. We do not track your app usage habits or upload your app list to any server.

2. Contacts

Permission: READ_CONTACTS, CALL_PHONE
Purpose: Required to allow you to search for contacts by name and initiate calls directly from results.
Data Handling: Contact data is accessed only in real-time during a search. It never leaves your device.

Advertising (Free Version Only)

The free version of Quick Search uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. To provide relevant ads, AdMob may collect and use certain information automatically:

Device Identifiers: Advertising ID (GAID) to track ad performance.
Network Info: IP address and connection type.
Usage Data: How you interact with advertisements (clicks, views).

Note: If you purchase the "Ad-Free" upgrade, the App stops requesting ads, and this data collection by AdMob ceases.

In-App Purchases

The App offers in-app purchases (e.g., to remove ads) using Google Play Billing.

Payment Processing: All financial transactions are handled directly by Google. PMDevLabs does not collect, access, or store your credit card details or billing information.
Purchase History: Google retains a record of your purchases to allow you to restore them if you switch devices or reinstall the App.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob & Google Play Services

We rely on Google services to deliver advertisements (in the free version) and manage app functionality. These services may collect information as described in their privacy policies.

Web Search Providers

When you use the "Web Search" feature, your query is sent to the search engine you select (e.g., Google, Bing). The App acts as a browser; we do not log your search history, but the search engine provider may collect data according to their own policies.

Data Security

We separate data into two categories to ensure security:

User Content (Contacts/Apps): Processed 100% locally. Never transmitted. Secure by design.
Functional Data (Ads/Billing): Managed by Google's secure infrastructure. We do not store this on our own servers.

Your Rights and Choices

Opt-out of Ads: You can purchase the "Remove Ads" upgrade to stop ad-related data collection.
Ad Personalization: If you use the free version, you can modify your ad preferences in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
Uninstall: You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App.

Children's Privacy

Our App is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our features (like new premium options). We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of this policy.
