File Analyzer

Introduction

PMDevLabs ("we", "our", or "us") operates the File Analyzer mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App to scan, browse, organize, and manage files stored on your device.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• File & Storage Data: Files, folders, and storage usage scanned on your device
• Media Files: Images, videos, and audio files analyzed for categorization
• App Packages (APKs): Installed or stored APK files detected during a scan
• Documents & Archives: Document and archive files browsed within the app

Automatically Collected Information

The App collects limited information through Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising and regulatory compliance:

• Device advertising ID
• IP address
• Device type and operating system
• Consent preferences (GDPR/CCPA status)

Permissions

File Analyzer requests the following permissions to enable its core features:

• Read Media Images / Videos / Audio: Required on Android 13+ to scan and categorize your media files by type
• Read External Storage: Used on Android 12 and below to access and analyze files stored on your device
• Write External Storage: Used on Android 9 and below to support file management operations
• Manage External Storage: Required on Android 11+ to enable full file management capabilities, including deleting files across all storage locations
• Request Install Packages: Allows the app to open and install APK files directly from the APK category
• Internet & Network State: Required for displaying advertisements via AdMob
• Foreground Service / Foreground Service Data Sync: Enables file operations (such as deletion and organization) to run reliably in the background without interruption
• Post Notifications: Used to display progress notifications during background file operations

No location, camera, microphone, or contacts permissions are used.

File Operations & Background Service

File Analyzer can perform file management tasks such as deletion and organization. Here is how this works:

• File operations run locally via a foreground service on your device
• No files or file metadata are transmitted to external servers
• Progress is shown via a local notification while operations are running
• The recently deleted feature temporarily tracks removed files locally for recovery purposes

Consent Management (CMP)

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, we use the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK. This is a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) that allows you to:

• Provide or withhold consent for personalized advertisements
• Manage your preferences for data processing by Google and its partners
• Withdraw your consent at any time via the in-app settings

Advertising (AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use your data to:

• Show personalized ads (with your consent)
• Show non-personalized ads (if consent is declined)
• Measure ad performance and prevent fraud

If you are in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data for advertising based on your explicit consent. You have the right to:

• Access, rectify, or erase your data
• Withdraw consent for personalized ads through "Privacy Settings" in the app

Data Safety (Google Play Disclosure)

According to Google Play's Data Safety guidelines, we declare the following:

• ✔️ We do not collect or share any personal data
• ✔️ No data is linked to your identity
• ✔️ No data is stored on servers or external systems
• ✔️ No login or account creation required
• ✔️ All file scanning and analysis is performed locally on your device
• ✔️ AdMob may process device identifiers to show ads, but we do not access this data

Children's Privacy

File Analyzer is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child is using our app and providing information, please contact us.

Terms of Service

Your use of the App is also governed by our Terms of Service, which are incorporated into this Privacy Policy by reference. Please review our Terms of Service before using the App.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when new features are added or requirements change. Continued use of the app after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
